The Greene Giving Fund has been a foundational piece of the Greene Realty Group since it was first conceived in 2015. Since then, the agents and staff at the Greene Realty Group have granted more than $60,000 to two dozen local nonprofits.
These funds have gone to help those most in need throughout our community. The list of nonprofits includes the Thurston County Food Bank, Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club of Thurston County, and the Bridge Music Project.
It's all a part of founder Jim Greene's vision of giving back to the community that has been there for him.
"Greene Realty has been known as this local, independent company here in Olympia, and we need to support it," Jim says. "That's kind of what I proposed to the agents, and they all bought in."
The concept is simple. Each year, the agents of the Greene Realty Group set aside thousands of dollars and accept applications from nonprofits working in the fields of housing, veterans services, and assistance for children and families.
It is all a part of Greene Realty's effort to make our community a better place for everyone.
