#GRGStory
Welcome back to another Monday. We’ve just gained an hour of sleep and lost an hour of daylight and it’s starting to feel like the final sprint of 2018. Wow. Coming into the holiday season, it’s a good time to reflect on the year and see where good intentions have fallen short. In preparation of the new year, we here at Greene have put together a short little list of apps to push your productivity over the top for the new year.
Let’s talk about that pile of business cards that you’ve accumulated this year
First, let’s talk about that pile of business cards that you’ve accumulated this year. Who has the time to put all those contacts into your phone? Thanks to CamCard, you don’t have to spend an evening managing the mess of cards that probably inhabit your junk drawer. CamCard is a free app that scans and automatically populates business card information directly into your contact list. Time to clean out that wallet once and for all.
Now that cleaning up your contacts is finished, go ahead and check that off your list. If marking off your to-do list brings as much happiness and closure to you as it does to me, you’ll also love Wunderlist. Wunderlist is a free to-do list app with everything you need and nothing you don’t. Make lists, set reminders and collaborate with anyone else, ahhh organization at its finest.
Making your password to all your accounts the year you were born and the name of your first dog is not a very secure strategy
Finally, we need to address this password issue. Although it might be a great convenience, making your password to all your accounts the year you were born and the name of your first dog is not a very secure strategy. 1Password takes care of all that. 1Password is a paid app that secures all your logins in one place, so go ahead and forget your passwords! With triple encryption and complex generated passwords, all you need to remember is one master login. Although this is a paid application, it’s worth every penny for your piece of mind and virtual security.
I know it’s daunting to add a new app or program to your work flow, but I promise, once you get over the initial speed bump, you’ll wonder what took you so long. 2019 is almost upon us, let's all make the most of it and be sure to mind your business.
